Many employers contract with services like Bright Horizons or Care.com to give their staff a set number of back-up care hours specifically for work-related needs . If an organization hasn’t done so, it could explore providing a certain allotment of free child care hours that physicians can use when required to attend after-hours work events. This effectively “plans in” the child care aspect of after-hours professional obligations. Clearly stating this benefit and process (e.g. “If you need childcare to attend the quarterly medical staff meeting, the hospital will cover X hours through Y service”) would directly satisfy this criterion.
