Coalition Board of Directors
The Coalition for Physician Well-Being is a voluntary association of healthcare systems, hospitals, professional organizations, physicians, and other like-minded individuals and entities committed to promoting the well-being of physicians and engaging physicians in a work of healing ministry. Coalition leadership resides in a committee and action group structure, with guidance from several leading members of the organization.
Robert Rodgers, MD

Robert M. Rodgers, MD, is a dedicated family medicine specialist based in Altamonte Springs, FL, with over 33 years of experience in the medical field. He completed his medical education at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1990 and subsequently pursued a residency in Family Medicine at AdventHealth Florida (East Orlando) from 1990 to 1993. Currently, Dr. Rodgers is affiliated with AdventHealth Orlando, holds a Florida State Medical License valid through 2025 and is board-certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Rodgers serves as the Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of the Primary Care Network at AdventHealth.
Ted Hamilton, MD

Dr. Ted Hamilton's illustrious career in healthcare includes roles such as Chief Mission Integration Officer and Senior Vice President of Mission and Ministry at AdventHealth. He also held positions as the Senior Medical Officer at AdventHealth Florida Medical Center and the Director of its family practice residency. Dr. Hamilton graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed his family practice training at AdventHealth. He also holds an MBA from Rollins College. An author of books like "Called to TEACH" and "Wholly Healthy," he enjoys writing, gardening roses, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Doug Wysockey-Johnson, MDiv

Doug Wysockey-Johnson has been the Executive Director of Lumunos for over 20 years, where he has managed the organization and interacted closely with the people they serve. His work primarily involves facilitating groups across the United States in various settings including business, retreat centers, and hospitals. Doug focuses on helping individuals clarify their priorities and discover their calling, a task he approaches with deep commitment. He is also a writer, sharing his thoughts and perspectives on living a fulfilled life and its positive impact on communities. Doug, alongside his wife Kathryn and daughter Isabel, resides near Burlington, Vermont, where they enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and skiing.
Ivonne Johnson, DNP, APRN

Ivonne Johnson, DNP, APRN, serves as the Chief APP Officer at AdventHealth Medical Group. She is a board-certified nurse practitioner with a doctoral degree in nursing practice. With a long-standing career in healthcare, Johnson has demonstrated a strong commitment to delivering comprehensive and empathetic patient care. Her areas of special interest include preventive medicine, dermatology and cosmetic procedures, hormone therapy, women's health, and nutrition-based weight-loss management.
Dennis Gonzales, PhD

Dennis P. Gonzales, Ph.D., holds the position of Senior Director of Mission Innovation & Integration at The Catholic Health Association of the United States (CHA). His career journey is marked by a diverse range of experiences, beginning with over a decade in education and HR (Organizational Development). Dr. Gonzales' educational background includes a Master’s degree in Education Technology and a Ph.D. in Organizational Development. Initially focusing on HR, he shifted to a mission role in healthcare, leveraging his background in religious formation, education, healthcare business, and organizational development. His journey through various roles in the Christus Health system culminated in his current position at CHA, where he works at the national level with various Catholic health systems. Dr. Gonzales is recognized for his mentoring and coaching of young mission leaders and his commitment to integrating business acumen, theology, ethics, and spirituality in his work.
Herbert Schumm, MD, FAAFP

Dr. Schumm is a seasoned family physician and administrator with a rich background in healthcare leadership. After a decade of private practice, Dr. Schumm transitioned to administrative roles, serving as a Chief Medical Officer and later as a medical group president in Lima, OH. His career took a significant turn in 2016 when he moved into a system role focusing on provider professional development, emphasizing physician well-being and learning at Mercy Health, now known as Bon Secours Mercy Health. In November 2022, Dr. Schumm retired and founded Schumm Associates, an organization dedicated to the wellness and leadership of health and ministry professionals. His contributions to education and healthcare are further highlighted by his service as Chair of the Huntington University Board of Trustees.

He is renowned for his work in obstetrics and gynecology, and he holds a medical license in the state of Illinois. His long-standing career is a testament to his dedication and skill in providing care to patients in his specialty.
Daniel Geeding, PhD, CPA

Dr. Daniel W. Geeding is a multifaceted professional with a diverse career spanning over 50 years in finance, accounting, investment, audit, information systems, and human resources. He founded Guidance Partners LLC, a consulting practice supporting entrepreneurs and nonprofit agencies, and managed the financial and investment systems at Interact for Health. His academic contributions include serving as a professor of management (emeritus) and the former director of the Center for International Business at Xavier University. Currently, Dr. Geeding is the Chair at Sense Neuro Diagnostics. He has also held significant positions such as the Dean of Xavier’s Williams College of Business and Director of the college’s Center for Management and Professional Development and the Executive MBA Program. He has served as a director and chairman of the board for various organizations, including Frisch’s Restaurants, Inc. and the Corporation for Findlay Market. Dr. Geeding holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Miami University, an MBA from the University of Michigan, and a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Cincinnati.

Elisa Arespacochaga is Vice President, Clinical Affairs and Workforce at the American Hospital Association. In her role, Elisa supports the workforce strategy efforts of the association, focused on strengthening the current health care workforce and planning for the workforce needed for the future. As part of this work, she also leads the AHA Physician Alliance, a strategic initiative that advances physician leadership through the educational offerings, professional development opportunities and greater inclusion within hospital and health system administration and policy activities.
Amber Orman, MD, DipABLM

Amber Orman, MD, DipABLM is a double board-certified radiation oncologist and lifestyle medicine specialist focusing on focusing on breast cancer treatment and prevention, providing holistic care that encompasses mind and body. She is the first ever Chief Wellness Office (CWO) of AdventHealth Medical Group, working to improve the well-being of her colleagues. She is also the co-founder of the HEAL (Healthy Eating and Active Lifestyle) program at AdventHealth in Orlando, Florida. HEAL is an 8-week lifestyle medicine program designed to educate and inspire cancer patients to make positive changes to decrease cancer recurrence and improve overall healthspan. She collaborates with the American College of Lifestyle Medicine as a member of the Health Systems Council and also serves as the Chair of the Cancer Member Interest Group. She is the Medical Director of AdventHealth Lifestyle Ventures as well as an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. She is a mother to 3 teenagers and 2 poodles, wife to a witty nephrologist, yogi, and ultrarunner who spends her free time trail running and summiting Colorado’s peaks. She is also well versed in the plant-based kitchen.
Arpan Waghray, MD
Providence's Well-Being Trust
Dr. Arpan Waghray is a geriatric psychiatrist who serves as the CEO of Providence’s Well Being Trust. In this role, he oversees the foundation’s strategy to drive measurable improvement in the mental health and well-being of communities within the Providence footprint of Alaska, California, Montana, Oregon, New Mexico, Texas, and Washington. Dr. Waghray has served on the Well Being Trust team since its inception in 2016. He also serves as chief medical officer of Behavioral Medicine at Providence, one of the largest non-profit health systems with 120,000 employees, 52 hospitals, 1,085 clinics and a comprehensive range of health and social services across its footprint. In this role, he facilitates clinical collaboration across the organization to design, develop, and deploy solutions that reduce variation and spread innovation in behavioral medicine. He also oversees Providence’s Tele-Behavioral Health Network that brings access to essential mental health services across 36 Providence ministries, including many rural and critical access hospitals. In partnership with key stakeholders from human resources, population health, Mission and digital innovation, he is leading efforts to improve the mental health and well-being of 120,000 Providence caregivers during times of unprecedented stress triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic. These efforts have been very impactful and gained national recognition from the Catholic Health Association of the United States. Additionally, Providence’s No One Cares Alone employee well-being program was featured in Harvard Business Review. Dr. Waghray co-chairs the Providence Behavioral Health Leadership Council, which aligns system-wide mental health efforts by bringing together teams from the clinical services division, population health, community partnerships, government affairs, human resources, digital innovation, Mission integration, and social engagement. A nationally recognized mental health leader, Dr. Waghray served as the 2022 Chair of the American Hospital Association’s Behavioral Health Services Council, which helps shape the AHA’s behavioral health advocacy, policy, and resource development. Additionally, he serves on the Catholic Health Association’s Well-Being Taskforce and the American Psychiatric Association’s Council on Healthcare systems and Financing. He has served as a faculty member for the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, and he edited a special issue of Elsevier`s Psychiatric Clinics of North America which focused on COVID-19. He completed his medical school training in India, psychiatry residency at Brookdale University Medical Center in New York, and a geriatric psychiatry fellowship at the University of Washington. He later completed an executive development program at the University of Washington Michael G. Foster School of Business. Dr. Waghray has been featured in Seattle Magazine and Seattle Met as one of the area’s top doctors, and he has been featured in numerous local and national media outlets providing expert commentary on topics related to mental health and well-being. He is actively involved in community activities and serves on the Greater Seattle YMCA board. Dr. Waghray enjoys spending time in the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest with his wife and two daughters.
