RSL: Scheduling
An emerging best practice (especially post-2020) is to use virtual meeting tools to give physicians flexibility. A hospital in California found better attendance and happier physicians when its Medical Executive Committee moved to a hybrid format at 5:30 PM, 100% virtual option – physicians could join from home, reducing commute strain on family time. While each organization will tailor this, providing remote access or recordings for meetings means a physician doesn’t have to miss dinner with family to attend. This approach is supported by the idea of improving work-life integration through technology .
